Are you a therapist or student using CranioSacral Therapy or SomatoEmotional Release who would like to:

• Get a better understanding of CST/SER?

• Get some questions answered?

• Refine your hands-on skills?

• Discuss difficulties regarding client sessions?

• Gain more confidence using CST/SER?

- "Encouragement has increased my knowledge and confidence."

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY STUDY GROUPS?

Two Study Groups are offered: All Levels and Advanced.

The purpose of these Study Groups is for you to have a place to explore and learn more about CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release concepts and to grow as a therapist, sharpening your techniques and confidence.

Both Study Groups are a structured and supportive opportunity for you to:

• ask questions,

• share experiences,

• express concerns and frustrations

• and practice techniques

to help you improve your understanding of CranioSacral Therapy.

- "I would not do CST without the Study Group."

WHO CAN ATTEND?

These Study Groups are Upledger Institute Approved CST Study Groups.

They are intended for therapists or students who have taken CST classes. If you would like to be added to the CST Study Group email list please email Julie with your name, email address, phone number, address and type of healthcare practice (MT, PT, OT, DC, etc.) You will be added to the email list and sent notices and reminders about Study Group.

If you are a caregiver or parent of an individual receiving ongoing CST and would like to learn more please contact Julie directly for details.

WHAT HAPPENS AT STUDY GROUP?

All Levels:

So along with your questions, difficulties and comments, please bring a thought or (brief) story to share about what inspires you to do CranioSacral Therapy.

Our general format is:

We go around the room asking our question(s) (yes you can have more than one), stating difficulties and comments. Then I try to find a common theme or thread to what's been expressed. Using the resources available to us (each other) we then work to get the questions answered, difficulties eased and comments pondered.

Through out the evening, we practice the hands-on techniques that are being asked about.

- "It's wonderful to have input and

positive feedback from colleagues."

Advanced:

Advanced Study Group for those who have taken SER1 or higher. We will be following a slightly different format for this Study Group. The objective of this Advanced Study Group is to help you hone the skills that you learned at the end of CSTII (Regional/Positional Tissue Release and Significance Detector) and those skills you learned in SER1 (more mouth work, arcing, dialoguing, etc.) Each night of Study Group will open with questions that people are having.

We will alternate the focus each month between:

a) working on techniques and

b) doing more clinical work by doing an actual SER session with multiple hands and discussing what occurred in the session.

If you have taken CSTII, have been practicing the mouthwork, RTR and using the SD and are interested in possibly participating in this Advanced Group you can contact Julie for approval.
